Ariana Grande inspired look!?

Love Ariana’s signature look? Her versatile, adapting, stylish half up and half down pony! This half-up pony works great with straight or curly hair. Learn how to do her chic half-up ponytail in just a few simple steps…

Step 1: Begin with shampooing your hair!

We need as much volume as possible, so start by shampooing with our black caviar volumizer shampoo and conditioner. For maximum results use our professional hair mousse for utmost volume and to keep frizz in check and help make your curls bouncier.

Step 2: blowdrying!

The celebrity secret to the super-smooth ponytail is a strategic blow dry. So, start by drying your roots in the direction of the base of your ponytail. Using some heat and a brush to redirect the hair at the root will make sure you’ve got the smoothest pony around. For thin hair, try using the teasing method where you use a teasing brush or flat oval brush to comb small sections of your hair backward. This knots your hair slightly and creates volume.

Step 3: part your hair!

Section off the top half of your hair by starting right above your ears and pulling all of the hair up to the crown of your head. Make sure both sides are even – the tail end of a rat tail comb can help you achieve a straight part. Secure the half ponytail at the base with a clear hair elastic. Adding hair extensions is also a good option if you have thin hair as this will create more volume and thickness.

Step 4: securing the ponytail!

Once you have secured your ponytail, place the ponytail forward and take a small section from the back of the ponytail. Tease the section several times. Continue teasing small sections of hair until the entire ponytail is teased. To hide your hair tie and wrap it with a piece of hair. Use a tiny bit of our jojoba gel to smooth the ends before you secure it in place using a hair grip.

Step 5: finishing touches!

Spray some hairspray onto a toothbrush and use it to smooth down any flyaway hairs and your Ariana Grande-inspired look is complete!
